There’s nothing to read!

When asked, the #1 reason boys say they don’t read is that there’s nothing to read.

That’s why I want this blog to be a place for you to:

  1. Recommend books to each other
  2. Share ideas about how to find good books and what makes a book good
  3. Discuss books

I will also share books and authors with you that boys I know think are worth reading, plus pro tips on how to make reading more fun.

Top 5 Series

To get you started, here are the top 5 series that boys I taught read and enjoyed during the first 30 days of the Reading Game:

  1. Percy Jackson and the Olympians
  2. Harry Potter
  3. Alex Rider
  4. Artemis Fowl
  5. Maximum Ride

The best part about starting the Reading Game with a series is that you know you have plenty to read for the first 30 days.

Also, check out the audiobooks. Reading and listening to a book at the same time is a great way to ease your way into the daily reading habit.

And don’t forget about comic books and graphic novels. They count as reading, too.

Would love to hear what book you are reading to start the Reading Game.
